Cleanse and De-Sensitize — Rosacea Cleansers and De-Sensitizing Mists
Although all aspects of skin care are important in rosacea, ideal cleansing is a vital first step in rosacea treatment.
The role of cleansing is to remove makeup, sunscreens, superficial dead skin cells, oils and environmental pollutants.
Removal of irritating skin impurities confers an anti-inflammatory effect, helping reduce redness.
Cleansing improves the cosmetic appearance of skin and allows subsequently applied products (prescription or otherwise) to penetrate evenly and take effect unhampered by contaminants.
The rosacea cleansers are free of allergens, irritants and preservatives and are fortified with high concentrations of antioxidants and anti-inflammatories, making them a useful adjunct in the treatment of red and irritated skin.
To derive maximum antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and hydrating benefits from these cleansers, they may be left to act on the skin for up to 5 minutes before rinsing.
Four rosacea cleanser formulations are available:
After use, there is the option of spraying your skin with one of the Rosacea De-Sensitizing Mists:
These mists extend the anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects of the rosacea cleansers. They may be reapplied at any time of the day to help reduce skin temperature, irritation or to refresh makeup.
Once perfectly cleansed, skin care can be continued with the application of Rosacea Antioxidants, Reparative Rosacea Treatments, Moisturizers and Sunscreens.
