About Ocular Rosacea
Ocular rosacea usually occurs in association with more severe rosacea of the skin ("cutaneous rosacea"), although it can appear as one of the first signs of rosacea in milder form.
Usually, the following are experienced: eye lid irritation, styes, blepharitis, a sensation of grittiness, chronically red or blood-shot eyes.
When the cornea becomes affected, abnormal growth of blood vessels can occur in a process called neovascularization, leading to infections, ulcers and more serious eye damage including damage to or even loss of vision.
Such cases require the intervention of an eye specialist who will more than likely prescribe topical and/or systemic rosacea medications.
In both the functional and purely cosmetic sense the eyes are highly valuable personal assets. It is critical that the delicate eye area be given effective and gentle daily care to help prevent the development of both bothersome and disfiguring conditions.
Rosacea Treatment Clinic provides a collection of Ocular Rosacea Treatments for daily use:
They are designed to address chronically red eyes and lid margins, irritated eyelids, regular stye formation, dry, irritated eyes, burning and foreign body sensations.
The duo are made available in the Ocular Rosacea Treatment Set.
