Innovative Ingredients
Ultra-Light Olive Squalane + Glycine Soya (Soybean) Sterols + Lysolecithin — provide a sheer serum without potential irritancy or discomfort of silicones; does not interfere with absorption of subsequently applied products or medications (in contrast with the occlusive nature of silicones); isolated soybean sterols help progressively reduce discoloration.
Retinaldehyde — superior skin interaction and absorption compared to other forms of Vitamin A; negligible prospect of adverse effects when used as directed.
Ubiquinone — also known as Co-Enzyme Q10, contributes to safely re-energising skin;
Silymarin Ethyl Ester — provides the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits of silymarin to the oil-soluble components of cells, helping enhance this aspect of other treatments such as Intensive Night Nurturing Complex.
Linoleic Acid + Oleic Acid + Ceramides — low concentration allows thorough absorption of retinaldehyde while compensating for increased exfoliation (and associated skin barrier function disruption associated with topical Vitamin A use) due to the increased rate of cellular renewal.
Phytosterols — extremely light and well-absorbed extracts of plant oils, work synergistically with ceramides and the pure squalane which forms the basis of the serum; benefits similar to cholesterol without hindering absorption.
Format
The latest hermetic capsules do not require the addition of preservatives, further reducing the likelihood of irritation and maintain the full activity of retinaldehyde up to the point of application.
Usage
Evening use only.
This product is rapidly deactivated by ulraviolet light, even once absorbed (not for daytime use).
Please see the frequency of use guide below.
In the evening, cleanse skin with Pre-Cleansing Emulsifier and Anti-Inflammatory Foaming Cleanser, Oil-Free Purifying Gel Cleanser or Hydrating De-Sensitising Cleansing Emulsion. Spray with Desensitising Epicatechin Serum-Mist, Hydrating Mist or Purifying Mist.
Apply to dry skin.
Cut or twist off the top of the capsule.
Squeeze gently and apply the contents of one capsule to the face and neck, section-by-section.
Massage gently until completely absorbed.
Follow with Anti-Inflammatory Clearing Serum (if used) and/or Intensive Night Nurturing Complex, Treatment Fluid or Treatment Cream.
This evening-use product must be combined with daytime use of sunscreen to be as effective as possible. Unprotected UV exposure will reverse Vitamin A's benefits.
Frequency of Use
If your skin is extremely sensitive, progressively increase use to reduce any likelihood of irritation.
- 1st week — one capsule every three nights.
- 2nd week — one capsule every other night.
- 3rd week — one capsule nightly.
- After 2 months optionally apply up to 3 capsules nightly to improve results.
Use Around Eyes
Use around the eyes is desirable, with caution.
Apply around the eyes once every three days at the commencement of use.
Increase frequency of application every 1-2 weeks as tolerated.
Wear sunglasses in preference to applying sunscreen around the most immediate eye area.
Tazarotene
After 4-8 months you may be able to make a transition to tazarotene, the most potent form of topical Vitamin A. |
